Travis Kelce Shouts Out Chiefs’ ‘Unsung Hero’ vs. Patriot

According to Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, the Week 15 triumph over the New England Patriots included an unsung hero. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, a running back, was that player.

"He's the unsung hero for today," Kelce said of Edwards-Helaire after the victory, according to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star.

"That's for damn sure." He wasn't the only one who praised 'CEH.'"He's been an energy giver, which you need," Reid said when asked if the former first-round RB turned backup has been "down on himself" in recent seasons.

"Smile on the face and he comes to work every day trying to get better, he doesn't ever complain."

Patrick Mahomes II, the Chiefs' quarterback, termed Edwards-Helaire "one of the best dudes I've ever met."

He went on to say that the entire running back room is "special" because they "believe in each other" and "want to see each other succeed."

Since the emergence of Isiah Pacheco — or possibly even before that for some — Edwards-Helaire has fallen out of favor with the fanbase.

However, in Week 15, both Jerick McKinnon and the former first-round pick had their moments.
