INglewood, CA— The Los Angeles Rams hosted the New Orleans Saints on "Thursday Night Football," with both teams still in playoff contention.

Only one consistently looked playoff-ready. Matthew Stafford's 300-plus yard throwing game helped the Rams beat the Saints 30-22, fighting off a late New Orleans revival and improving their playoff chances to 8-7.

he Saints are 7-8 heading into a crucial game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week, with postseason odds less concerning than Thursday's lackluster showing. 

The Saints recovered from 30-7 down in the fourth quarter to 30-22 at 3:53 but couldn't go closer.
