Ingredients For Easy Pecan Pie Bar

– ½ cup butter – ¼ cup granulated sugar – ¼ teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoon cornstarch

For the shortbread crust: 

– 2 egg – ¾ cup brown sugar – ½ cup light corn syrup – ¼ cup heavy cream – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon cornstarch – 1 & ½ cup pecans chopped

For the pecan pie filling:

1- Set aside an 8x8 pan that has been lined with parchment paper after preheating the oven to 325 degrees.

How To Make Easy Pecan Pie Bar

2- Combine the flour, cornstarch, and salt in a big bowl and stir. Using your hands or a pastry cutter, work the cold butter into the dough until cookie dough forms. After preparing the baking pan, press it onto it and bake for 20 minutes.

3- Combine the eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, light corn syrup, vanilla extract, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Add the pecan pieces and stir.

4- After the crust has finished baking, cover the crust with the pecan pie filling and continue baking for another 30 to 35 minutes. There will be some browning around the edges and very little jiggly center.

5- Take out of the oven, allow to cool completely, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least half an hour. After slicing, serve the bars.
