Renewing for a third season, The Gilded Age

Just after the second season concluded, Julian Fellowes' period drama was picked up.HBO's The Gilded Age will go on as planned.

Anthology series Downton Abbey, created by Julian Fellowes, has been renewed for a third season by HBO. 

The Gilded Age's second season ended on December 17th, and this pickup is happening only four days after that.

New York City in the late 1800s is the setting for this series, which follows the conflict between old and new money, as well as old and new methods of living. 

 Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, Denée Benton, Ben Ahlers, Michael Cerveris, Kelley Curran, Taissa Farmiga,

Blake Ritson, Douglas Sills, Erin Wilhelmi, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, John Douglas Thompson, Ashlie Atkinson, Laura Benanti, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Christopher Denham,

David Furr, Ward Horton, Matilda Lawler, and Robert Sean Leonard are all part of the massive cast.  

As a whole, The Gilded Age has a lot more narrative potential. President of Universal Television Erin Underhill expressed her joy that HBO will be providing viewers with another season of Julian Fellowes' great storytelling.
