Movies win. Francis Ford Coppola praises Barbie and Oppenheimer's box office figures.

Distinguished filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola is gushing about Barbenheimer's accomplishments. Last week, moviegoers saw the largest conflict at the box office.

Barbie and Oppenheimer, two of the biggest Hollywood films, came out on July 21 and are both performing very well at the box office worldwide.

Coppola recently spoke on the simultaneous release of two Hollywood blockbusters and praised the raucous reception both films are receiving.

He referred to the success of both mega-budget pictures as a "victory for Cinema".

The director received a question on Instagram Stories from fans asking if he had seen both movies or not.

Despite not having seen either of the films yet, he declared, "It's a victory for cinema that people are flocking to large theaters.

To see them and that they are true one-offs with no number attached to them, meaning they are neither'sequels' nor 'prequels.'"

The two master filmmakers, Christopher Nolan and Greta Gerwig, have both produced films that have received positive reviews from critics.
