LeBron James out vs. Timberwolves with ankle injury, admits fatigue hitting him and the Laker

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will miss Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to tendinitis in his left ankle.

The statement came shortly after the Lakers were defeated 124-108 by the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, with James falling just short of a triple-double.

In 37 minutes at the United Center, he had 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.

James has now missed the second game in a back-to-back for the second time in two weeks.

It's also in the midst of a hectic schedule for the Lakers, who are coming off a championship run in the inaugural NBA in-season tournament earlier this month.

James said Wednesday night that his hectic schedule is wearing him down.  In the preseason tournament, James shone.

He was voted MVP of the event after averaging 26.4 points, eight rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. He also shot nearly 57% from the field.

However, the Lakers have struggled since their championship victory over the Indiana Pacers.
