Julian Nagelsmann makes room for Real Madrid icon Toni Kroos to play at Euro 2024 and pull a Germany U-turn.

Toni Kroos now has the opportunity to make a U-turn and return to the German national team in time for the team's 2024 Euro campaign thanks to Julian Nagelsmann.

After his dismal performance at Euro 2020, Real Madrid star Kroos made the decision to depart Germany.

He wanted to prioritize his family and spend more time with them while simultaneously pursuing his Real Madrid club career.

However, manager Nagelsmann is now concentrating on Kroos, who has remained silent regarding the prospect of playing for Germany once more.

The manager has revealed that he has spoken with the midfield player.

"Interesting thought," Nagelsmann told ZDF's SportStudio when asked about the prospect of Kroos returning to the fold

Pressed on whether the pair spoke about Kroos completing a Germany U-turn during a recent conversation

Nagelsmann continued: "I think playing Euros at home is an attractive prospect for all German players. It depends on him, his performances and on other players."

Kroos was a vital member of Die Mannschaft from 2010 to 2021 and his greatest moment as a national team representative came when he won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Kroos declared his retirement from the national team following a poor Euro 2020 campaign.
