Ja Morant has 20 points in first home game following suspension, Grizzlies beat Pacers 116-103

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Indiana Pacers 116-103 on Thursday night thanks

Ja Morant scoring 20 points and dishing out eight assists in his first home game after serving a 25-game suspension.

Memphis was led by Desmond Bane, who scored 31 points and had seven assists. Jaren Jackson Jr

had 21 points and seven rebounds to round out the scoring. Morant shot 7 of 15 from 3-point range and 11 of 26 from the field for Bane.

Memphis was still rejoicing after Morant's comeback Tuesday night in New Orleans, when he scored 34 points and made

the game-winning, twisting layup with seconds remaining. The NBA suspended him for twice displaying a gun on social media.

Indiana was led by Obi Toppin's 22 points. Tyrese Haliburton contributed 17 points and 14 assists, while Buddy Hield and Myles Turner both tallied 15 points.

Memphis, which led 86-77 entering the third quarter, increased its lead to 17 at the midpoint of the fourth quarter and cruised to its second straight victory. The Pacers had won 144-113 in Charlotte on Wednesday night.

With Morant back, the Grizzlies appear to have a new attitude, as evidenced by their performance in the first half

Memphis was shooting 60% from the field and 50% from 3-point range by the midpoint of the second quarter. The margin of victory had grown to 22 points.
