In 1965, it was a Christmas story to remember.

This story was first written in 1965, and it comes out every year on Christmas Day.

Due to the now-traditional 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story on TBS and TNT from Christmas Eve 8pmET to Christmas Day,

Members of the Cherub and Chapel choirs put on the Nativity pageant, which went mostly well at dress practice.

The 4- and 5-year-old actors who played Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and other characters went through their parts pretty easily.

In the background, there was the Chapel Choir and a narrator.

There were only a few small problems with people getting tangled up in their long robes and headdresses.

Then the Big Night came.

Before the official event even started, there was a first sign of trouble when a boy in the Cherub Choir who was about 2 years old became interested in the doll that looked like Jesus in the manger.
