'Horrible Days': Ja Morant Prepares for 25-game Ban Recovery

Two-time NBA All-Star guard Ja Morant says he had “horrible days” during a 25-game ban and is ready to return to Memphis with a new approach.

Morant talked during a Grizzlies workout on Friday after being suspended for the first 25 NBA games after two social media videos showed him flaunting a gun.

The 24-year-old American, the NBA's 2022 Most Improved Player, can return on Tuesday when the Grizzlies play in New Orleans.

“I’m just trying to come back and do whatever I can to help the team win,” Morant added.

. “I won't force a historic game my first game back. To be back out there is exciting.”“

“Definitely hard. Horrible days,” Morant said of his ban. The support I received throughout this process helped me a lot.

It was virtually my only support.”The Grizzlies are tied with Portland for the fourth-worst NBA record at 6-17 and will struggle to make the playoffs for a fourth straight season.

There's guilt in it. Morant added, "I'm not on the floor and nobody likes losing." I take full responsibility for that.

I couldn't fight with my team because of my choices.
