According to the U.S. Currency Auctions (USCA) website, certain $2 bills can cost $4,500 or more on the collectibles market. 

Almost all of the truly valuable ones were printed in the nineteenth century.

 Even banknotes from the last 30 years can be worth hundreds of dollars if you have the proper one.

The $2 bill was introduced in 1862 and is still in use today. It initially contained a portrait of Alexander Hamilton, but that altered with an 1869 redesign that included a portrait of Thomas Jefferson. 

According to WFLA, which cited information from the US Treasury Department, the most recent edition of the $2 bill was designed in 1963.
