Pasta is a favorite of both adults and children. This recipe is ideal for a light and summery evening family meal because it can be prepared in under 30 minutes from the fridge to the table. We believe that cooking for your family at home can be just as simple as ordering a pizza (and it’s also less expensive and healthier)! This Ground Beef and Asparagus Pasta Toss fits all of our must-have requirements: it’s quick, healthful, and delicious.

HOW TO MAKE GROUND BEEF AND ASPARAGUS PASTA

To begin, cook the pasta in boiling water. I chop the asparagus into 1-inch pieces and add it at the end so it may cook in the boiling water without having to dirty another pan. You may also use a different veggie or add other vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or peppers!

I brown the ground beef in a big skillet over medium heat while the pasta cooks. Drain any excess drippings after breaking the pounded beef into small pieces. With a slotted spoon, remove the ground beef from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels.

In the same big nonstick skillet, heat one tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring often, until the shallots and garlic are soft. Take the pan off the heat. Stir in the beef to combine.

Combine the beef mixture, spaghetti, and asparagus. Toss gently. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with Parmesan cheese.
